What causes skin diseases

What causes skin diseases

Skin disease is a relatively broad concept and one of the most common diseases. It includes a variety of symptoms and manifestations. There are also many causes of skin diseases, such as physical and chemical factors, and insect bites. In addition, for people with allergic constitutions, food allergies are also an important cause of skin diseases. In addition, genetic, mental factors, endocrine, etc. are all likely to cause skin diseases.

1. Physical and chemical factors

Pressure and friction, rapid local temperature changes, radiation, light, thermal radiation, chemical reagents and other factors can all cause skin diseases. Some factors can make skin diseases worse. For example, excessive scratching may lead to secondary infection; hot water, soapy water, and improper use of medication may aggravate eczema lesions; and sun exposure may aggravate photosensitivity diseases.

2. Biological factors

Insect bites, contact with certain plants, parasites and microbial infections are all common pathogenic factors, such as various viral skin diseases caused by viral infections.

3. Food and other diseases

Some foods, such as shrimp, are prone to cause allergic diseases. Visceral lesions, local infections, blood and lymphatic circulation disorders, etc. can cause related skin diseases. For example, diabetic patients are prone to pruritus, local infections cause infectious eczematous dermatitis, and circulation disorders can cause cyanosis and elasticity.

4. Heredity

Some diseases have a clear family history, such as ichthyosis and albinism.

5. Neuropsychiatric factors

Nerve damage can cause nutritional ulcers; stress and tension are closely related to the onset of alopecia areata, lichen simplex chronicus, etc.

6. Metabolic and endocrine factors

Metabolic disorders can cause skin amyloidosis, xanthomas, etc., while Cushing's syndrome is prone to acne, hirsutism, etc.

The most common causes of skin diseases are infections and allergic dermatitis. However, with the degenerative changes of aging, senile skin diseases and skin cancer are also important skin diseases. In addition, we need to pay attention to various skin disorders caused by side effects of drug treatment.
