Is white skin disease vitiligo?

Most white skin diseases are symptoms caused by vitiligo. A characteristic of vitiligo is that it is prone to recurrence and is difficult to treat, especially in summer. The recurrence rate is relatively high. During the treatment process, it is necessary to prevent recurrence, not blindly treat, not aim too high, and focus on comprehensive treatment and take measures to consolidate treatment.

1. Blind treatment

Many vitiligo patients, in the early stages of the disease, are eager to be cured and blindly choose some folk remedies for treatment. However, since the cause of the disease is unknown, inappropriate treatment often makes the condition worse. In addition, these folk remedies generally have no scientific basis, and blind use will only accelerate the spread of white spots. Therefore, vitiligo patients should not use them blindly, and must treat the disease symptomatically according to their own condition.

2. Single therapy

Nowadays, there are endless methods for treating vitiligo, so many vitiligo patients often fall into misunderstandings during treatment. In the past, many methods for treating vitiligo were basically relatively single, and they were not targeted at the root causes of vitiligo. Therefore, they often could not achieve the desired effect. Therefore, when choosing treatment, vitiligo patients must first choose a hospital specializing in the treatment of vitiligo and carry out scientific symptomatic treatment.

3. Failure to provide consolidation treatment

After vitiligo recovers, although the white spots on the patient's skin have gradually subsided, there are still some stubborn lesions in the body that have not fully recovered. If the patient stops treatment immediately at this time, vitiligo will soon relapse under some slight external stimulation. Therefore, in order to avoid the recurrence of vitiligo, patients must insist on post-consolidation treatment and take good care measures.
