Gastritis is very destructive to people's bodies. The stomach and intestines are the most important tissues in the human body and are responsible for obtaining energy and other nutrients. Therefore, gastrointestinal problems will have a great impact on the patient's life. For example, gastritis often causes abdominal pain, fatigue, bloating and other symptoms. Some patients also have accompanying symptoms of headache and dizziness. Let's take a look at whether dizziness caused by gastritis is serious? What are the symptoms of gastritis?

For example, superficial gastritis is a chronic superficial inflammation of the gastric mucosa. It is the most common type of chronic gastritis. Most patients with superficial gastritis lack clinical symptoms, while some patients often have upper abdominal distension, belching, acid reflux, loss of appetite, or irregular upper abdominal pain, which worsens after eating.

Symptoms of gastritis:

1. Gastritis can cause dizziness. Symptoms of acute gastritis include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, etc. in mild cases; in severe cases, there may be vomiting of blood, black stools, and even poisoning or shock.

2. The most common symptom is diarrhea. Other symptoms include: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fever, loss of appetite, weight loss (may be a sign of dehydration), heavy sweating, cold and clammy skin, muscle pain or joint stiffness, fecal incontinence, etc.

3. Severe vomiting and diarrhea can quickly lead to dehydration, which is manifested by weakness, extreme thirst, oliguria or darker urine, dry skin, dry mouth, sunken eyes, and infants may also cry with fewer tears. Severe vomiting or diarrhea can cause hyponatremia, hypokalemia, hypotension, etc.

It is recommended to have enough rest time, stop all foods and medicines that are irritating to the stomach, and give easily digestible, light, and low-residue liquid food to facilitate the rest of the stomach and the healing of injuries. Eat small meals frequently, drink plenty of water, and avoid beverages. The type and severity of gastroenteritis symptoms depend on the type and amount of the microorganism or toxin.
