How to relieve anal itching?

Anal itching is very uncomfortable. You can rub or scratch it at home, but when you go out, you can't deal with the itching, but it is very uncomfortable and it is really unpleasant. Anal itching can be treated directly through surgery, drug injection or drug therapy.

What to do about anal itching 1. Surgical treatment

Surgical treatment can completely cure the disease. For example, for intractable pruritus, the sensory nerve endings under the skin around the anus can be cut off through surgery to relieve the itching. There are many surgical methods, including elliptical skin excision and suture, skin flap transplantation, sensory nerve endings cutting, perianal subcutaneous separation, etc. Under local anesthesia, make a crescent-shaped incision on each side of the anus, dissect subcutaneously toward the anus, and cut off the sensory nerve endings under the skin of the external sphincter. Finally, the skin is repositioned and sutured, and bleeding must be stopped perfectly to prevent hematoma and infection.

What to do about anal itching 2. Drug injection

The drug is injected into the skin or subcutaneously to destroy the sensory nerves, causing local numbness and no longer feeling the itching. Most patients can be cured with this method. But remember not to inject into the muscle layer to avoid causing necrosis and damaging the motor nerves. Temporary anal incontinence may occur, but it can recover naturally.

What to do about anal itching 3. Drug therapy

For example, oral medication: use medication reasonably according to different reasons. If it is caused by mental tension or neurasthenia, sedatives and hypnotics can be taken at night, such as luminal and diazepam; if it is caused by allergies, chlorpheniramine, diphenhydramine, and astemizole can be used; in addition to oral administration, there is also external application. Chinese and Western medicines can be directly applied to the affected area to relieve itching, such as skin care ointment, prednisone, and hydrocortisone ointment, which all have an antipruritic effect, but this method cannot cure the disease.
