How to improve poor immunity and susceptibility to colds?

When seasons change, the air changes from hot to cold, or the cold virus spreads, some people will catch a cold immediately, but some people will never show symptoms of a cold under such circumstances. This is because some people have poor resistance and are prone to catching colds and getting sick. For such people, as long as they do some conditioning in their daily lives, they will avoid being infected by colds. The following are some ways to improve poor resistance and easy colds:

1. Get enough sleep

Studies have shown that staying up all night for a long time can seriously damage the human immune system, making it more susceptible to viral infection. Staying up late will consume the body's muscle tissue. Modern people stay up late mostly because of long-term sitting and working, which will lead to fat accumulation. This change in nutrients in the body is not easy to be detected in the short term, and will reduce the body's immunity in the long run.

2. Yogurt breakfast

A study by the American Health Association found that yogurt can lower levels of "bad" cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein LDL) and reduce the risk of urinary tract infections by 47%. The probiotics contained in some yogurts can significantly enhance the body's immunity and disease resistance. The calories in yogurt are about 1.5 times that of the same amount of milk, and the pH value of yogurt is low. Therefore, drinking yogurt during the day can replenish more energy than drinking it at night, and it is also easier to digest and absorb.

3. Eat more garlic

A study by the University of Maryland Medical Center found that eating garlic regularly not only helps improve immunity, but also helps prevent heart disease. As a plant of the Allium family, garlic contains bactericidal and antiviral compounds, which help the human body improve immunity and fight against "invaders" with all its strength. Allicin in garlic can inhibit inflammatory responses in the human body and reduce the damage of free radicals to human cells.

4. Vegetable Chicken Soup

There has always been a folk belief that drinking chicken soup can cure colds. A study by the University of Nebraska Medical Center showed that vegetables combined with chicken soup have a certain anti-inflammatory effect and can partially eliminate the inflammation caused by colds. Previous studies have also shown that chicken soup can relieve symptoms such as sore throat congestion. Vegetables that go well with chicken soup include: onions, sweet potatoes, radishes, carrots, celery, coriander, etc.

5. Drink honey water, ginger water, and lemon water regularly

Studies have shown that the antioxidants in honey are boosters for improving immunity; ginger is a natural analgesic and detoxifier, and has a certain effect in fighting infection and eliminating influenza viruses; lemons are rich in vitamin C, which has antioxidant properties. Foods rich in antioxidants and vitamin C can protect the body from free radicals and damage from harmful molecules, and promote a healthy immune system.

6. Exercise every week

A report from the U.S. National Library of Medicine shows that exercise can help "flush" bacteria from the lungs and increase the circulation of white blood cells, improving the immune system's ability to detect disease. Daily activities and physical exercise can increase the body's muscle mass and maintain nutritional status.

7. Get more sun

A study by Yale University School of Medicine in the United States found that regular sun exposure can help reduce the harm of influenza virus and other common respiratory diseases. Researchers believe that maintaining high levels of vitamin D in the body can better prevent problems such as sore throat, common cold and nasal congestion. People who live in sunny areas are less likely to get sick with the flu virus than those who get less sun.
