Takayasu arteritis is an inflammatory arterial disease that is more common in young women. This disease does not have a single site of onset, but is prone to occur in multiple sites and is multiple. It has a very great impact on human health, so it must be treated promptly. Many factors need to be considered when treating Takayasu's arteritis. Treatment should be combined with the site of disease. There are many treatment methods. So how should Takayasu's arteritis be treated? 1. Principles of medical treatment (1) Anti-inflammatory treatment effectively controls infection and helps prevent the progression of the disease. (2) Hormones are more effective for patients in the early or active stages of the disease and can improve symptoms in the short term. Take oral doses of prednisone, dexamethasone, etc. (3) Immunotherapy. (4) Vasodilators to improve blood circulation to the brain and limbs. (5) Antiplatelet drugs such as aspirin. (6) Antihypertensive drugs: This disease is not well responded to a single antihypertensive drug and requires the combined use of two or more drugs. 2. Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty It has been used to treat renal artery stenosis, abdominal aorta, subclavian artery stenosis, etc., with good results. Balloon angioplasty is widely used, but stent implantation should be used with caution due to the characteristics of arteritis. 3. Surgery Generally, surgical treatment is adopted after the lesion is stabilized, including normal body temperature, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, white blood cell count and IgG. The principle of surgery is to reconstruct the artery before the organ function is lost. (1) For brachiocephalic type, artificial vascular reconstruction, intimal thrombectomy, etc. can be performed via extrathoracic or intrathoracic approaches. (2) Patients with severe stenosis of the thoracic or abdominal aorta can undergo artificial vascular reconstruction. (3) For patients with renal artery stenosis, renal autotransplantation or vascular reconstruction can be performed. For patients with obvious atrophy of the affected kidney, nephrectomy can be performed. (4) Coronary artery stenosis can be treated with coronary artery bypass grafting or stent implantation. |
