What causes hives?

Wheals are a common urticaria disease and a current symptom of urticaria. Not only that, some lumpy bumps will appear on the patient's skin, which are a bit like the symptoms after being bitten by a mosquito. It mainly occurs in spring and autumn, especially in the spring when the weather is prone to allergies. Many people are most susceptible to urticaria. The vast majority of people who have urticaria for the first time are in the acute stage of the disease, which is mainly related to allergies caused by careless diet. For this, we need to understand the causes of wheals in detail and find appropriate control methods.

Wheals (urticaria) appear rapidly, and a few minutes before the wheals appear, there is often local itching or tingling. Some patients may experience systemic symptoms such as loss of appetite, general malaise, headache or fever within hours or a day or two after the appearance of the urticaria.

The wheals are flat, red or yellowish or pale edematous macules with red edges. Sometimes, the wheals are ring-shaped and are called annular urticaria. Several adjacent annular lesions may connect or merge to form a map-like shape, which is called graphic urticaria.

Patients with urticaria have undergone many treatments, but none of them can resolve the IgE antibodies in the serum. For a long time, the disease has recurred, making it impossible to be completely cured. The anti-allergic probiotic Kangminyuan is currently the only treatment for severe autoimmune urticaria. Kangminyuan probiotics enter the intestines in the form of live bacteria and are easily taken up by dendritic cells on the human intestinal wall, stimulating spleen cells to secrete IFN-γ interferon, thereby enhancing the level of TH1 cell immune response. In addition, supplementation with Kangminyuan probiotics can reduce IgE antibodies in serum and inhibit TH2 type cell immune response, thereby inducing TH1 immune response and reducing TH2 immune response. This adjustment of immune function has been used in the etiology treatment of intractable chronic urticaria.

Currently, the treatment of chronic urticaria is still mainly based on antihistamines, but because they cannot fundamentally solve the problem of recurrence, for stubborn and refractory patients, combined treatments such as hormones, immunomodulators (oral Kangminyuan probiotic anti-allergic preparations) can be considered. Ultimately, the course of urticaria treatment can be shortened and the recurrence rate of urticaria can be reduced.
