What are the early symptoms of brain tumors

Brain tumors, also known as intracranial tumors, are common clinical diseases. Brain tumors are very serious and can even be fatal. When early symptoms of brain tumors appear, they should be treated promptly to help control the disease. Generally, the main symptom of brain tumor patients in the early stage is headache.

1. General headaches can be relieved in the afternoon, but this is not the case with brain tumors. The headache is often the worst when you wake up from a night's sleep, and it will gradually ease after you get up.

2. Projectile vomiting. It usually occurs when the headache is severe and can be relieved after vomiting.

3. Decreased vision. In the early stage, there may be a temporary black film and short-term vision loss. As the disease worsens, it gradually becomes a persistent visual impairment and may eventually lead to complete blindness.

4. Diplopia. That is, the images formed by the two eyes cannot overlap, and any object appears as double.

5. Visual field loss. It usually presents as bitemporal hemianopsia, which can impede the patient's behavior in severe cases.

6. One eye is bulging. That is, one eyeball protrudes forward.

7. Unilateral deafness. If a middle-aged person has no history of otitis media or trauma, but only has progressive hearing loss in one ear, with or without tinnitus on the same side, it is mostly caused by a tumor compressing the auditory nerve.

8. Late-onset epilepsy. For patients who begin to develop the disease after adulthood, if there is no trauma or other predisposing factors, intracranial tumors should be considered first.

9. Hemiplegia. It includes two different conditions: one is hemiplegia or hemiplegia, and the other is ataxia of one side of the limbs, which manifests as clumsy or unstable movements.

10. Acromegaly. It occurs in adults, with the main symptoms being thickened and enlarged hands and limbs, and prominent brow ridges and mandible.

11. Amenorrhea and lactation. Amenorrhea and lactation in non-pregnant women of childbearing age are often the first symptoms of pituitary tumors. The main symptoms in men include impotence, loss of pubic hair, axillary hair, and beard, and thickening of subcutaneous fat.
