What to do if you have a sprained lumbar ligament? It turns out this is the way

Lumbar ligament strain is quite common in daily life because most people today rarely exercise. Sudden and violent movement can easily lead to ligament strain, especially the ligaments in the waist are more susceptible to damage. So what should you do when you sprain your lumbar ligament? In fact, massage therapy is effective.

1. What should I do if I sprain my lumbar ligament? Massage therapy has a certain effect, but it is difficult to heal. The key is to eliminate the causes of strain and strengthen preventive measures. While doing massage treatment, if you can cooperate with internal medicine to nourish the liver and kidneys, the waist is the midpoint of the human body. The lumbar sacral joint is the only large joint in the human body that bears the body's gravity. It is the hub of waist movement. Bending forward, leaning back, bending left and right, and turning are all involved. Regardless of exercise or activity, the joints here bear greater force than any other joint in the body.

2. The higher the labor intensity or the greater the amount of activity, the more joint movement there is. The movement of joints involves muscles, so the muscles here are prone to fatigue and injury. Lumbar muscle strain means that the lumbar muscles are overworked and become diseased. Even if some people do not engage in much physical activity or have a low labor intensity, their incorrect posture keeps their spine in a semi-bent state and their back muscles are always tense. Over time, this causes strain, which further develops into aseptic inflammation, stimulates nerve endings, causes pain, and thus causes low back pain.

3. What should you do if you strain your lumbar ligaments? Lumbar sprain is a local acute injury caused by sudden excessive pulling of soft tissues such as the waist muscles, fascia, and ligaments due to external force, which exceeds the normal physiological load. It is often caused by sudden sprain of the waist when carrying heavy objects, or transporting heavy objects, or muscle spasm caused by bending over to lift heavy objects and suddenly straightening up, etc. There are usually obvious external injuries.

The main symptoms are: severe pain in severe cases, and the patient cannot move immediately; mild cases can move, but the pain will worsen after rest or the next morning, and the patient may even be unable to get up. Examination may reveal lumbar muscle spasm; severe cases have the muscles as hard as a board, and turning over is difficult. Unilateral lumbar muscle sprain can cause scoliosis and limited mobility. There is obvious tenderness in one or both sides of the psoas muscles, and the tenderness point depends on the site of injury. Lumbar muscle sprain often occurs on one side or both sides of the spine, covering a wide range; when the supraspinal or interspinous ligaments are injured, the tenderness points are mostly on the spinous processes or between the spinous processes; when the iliac lumbar ligaments are injured, the tenderness points are often on the upper inner edge of the posterior superior iliac spine; when the lumbar ligaments are sprained, the tenderness points are often located at the lumbar-sacral junction. In severe sprains, pain may radiate along the muscles to both or one lower limb.
