How to treat bronchiectasis and hemoptysis

Patients with pulmonary bronchiectasis who cough up blood need to be examined promptly. There are many reasons for coughing up blood, and it cannot be said with certainty that the condition has worsened, but it also needs timely treatment. The specific treatment method needs to be selected according to the patient's physical condition.

1. Give oxygen appropriately according to the patient's condition.

2. Postural drainage: Postural drainage is performed according to the lesions in different parts of the body. The drainage time is 15 minutes each time, and the patient is encouraged to cough. 3. Clear sputum, keep the airway open, and assist in expectoration. Instruct the patient to sit up and lean forward when coughing, and try to cough up as much sputum as possible. When the sputum is thick, drink more water, at least 1500 ml of fluid per day, or use steam inhalation, or give expectorants as prescribed by the doctor, and regularly turn the patient over and pat the back to promote the discharge of sputum.
