How to make roses into dried flowers

In our lives, many people are particularly happy when they receive roses, because most of the people who send them roses are people who are close to them, so at these times people want to keep the roses forever as memories and commemorations, but fresh roses generally have a short storage time, so they can be made into dried flowers for a long time, so how to make roses into dried flowers?

There are many ways to dry flowers, but natural drying is the simplest and easiest. Hang the flowers in dry hot air indoors to evaporate the moisture. In order to prevent tissue shrinkage and better preserve its natural color, try to use hot air to dry quickly. Hang the flower heads down so that the top of the stem remains rigid during the drying process. Cut flowers can be hung on wire or racks to dry. Do not use plastic bags because they block moisture diffusion and cause mold.

When making dried flowers, they should be cut in dry weather to make them easier to dry. The flower stems should be left longer and the leaves removed, as the leaves prolong the dehydration process and often shrink and lose their ornamental value. Generally, cut flowers can be tied into small bunches with the flower heads separated from each other so that they are not damaged by squeezing. After a few days, the cut flowers will slowly dry out and feel brittle to the touch. The petals will become fibrous. At this point, they have become dried flowers and can be used for decoration.

Use very clean and dry fine sand and a piece of printer paper to make a paper box that can hold the flowers. Bury the flowers in the paper box with fine sand. Place it in a dry place. It will be ready after two weeks.

Many of the flowers we place on a daily basis can be made into dried flowers, especially bouquets that have special meaning to us, which can be preserved for a longer time after being made into dried flowers. We can also buy fresh flower petals, dry them and make them into sachets, which is very cheap. The simplest and most natural way is to tie the flowers into bunches and place them in a warm, dry place to dry. This is what we usually call air drying. But some flowers will become deformed or even deteriorate if dried in this way. If you want the flowers to dry longer, you can use a microwave to help.

Air Dry

Air drying is the simplest and most commonly used method of making dried flowers. Choose a warm, dry and well-ventilated room. The indoor temperature should not be lower than 10 degrees Celsius. A well-ventilated cabinet, a heated room, or a top floor or attic are all good options. Flowers have decorative value during the drying process, so you might consider using your bedroom or dining room as a place for drying them. Drying time varies with the type of flower, air humidity and temperature. In a warm, dry room, delphiniums will dry out in just two or three days, but in a shed or utility room where the temperature is slightly lower, it may take eight to ten days. You must remember to check and smell them every two or three days. If your flowers feel as brittle as paper, you're done.

Microwave drying

Microwave drying is a new method that has emerged, which is characterized by short time and no need for other media. This drying method is suitable for flowers that can be air-dried, such as herbs, daisies, roses, marigolds, etc., as well as some grasses such as pampas grass, thistle, papyrus, etc.

The drying time in the microwave depends on the type of oven and the number of flowers. Some berries are easily cracked in the microwave, so first put them in a cool, dry and ventilated place to air dry for at least a week.
