How to treat syphilis with integrated Chinese and Western medicine

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease that is familiar to the general public. There are many ways in which syphilis is transmitted. 1. The treatment of syphilis is mainly based on Western medicine:

(I) Early syphilis (including primary, secondary and early latent syphilis)

1. Penicillin therapy

(1) Benzathine penicillin G (long-acting penicillin) 2.4 million units, injected intramuscularly into both buttocks once a week for a total of 3 to 6 times.

(2) Procaine penicillin G 800,000 units/day, intramuscularly, for 10 to 15 consecutive days, with a total dose of 8 to 12 million units.

2. People who are allergic to penicillin

(1) Tetracycline hydrochloride 500 mg, 4 times/day, orally, for 15 consecutive days.

(2) Doxycycline 100 mg, twice a day, for 15 days.

(ii) Tertiary syphilis (including tertiary cutaneous, mucosal, and bone syphilis and late latent syphilis) and secondary recurrent syphilis.

(1) Benzathine penicillin G 2.4 million units, once a week, intramuscularly, for a total of 3 times.

(2) Procaine penicillin G 800,000 units/day, intramuscular injection, for 20 consecutive days.

2. People who are allergic to penicillin

(1) Tetracycline hydrochloride 500 mg, 4 times/day, orally, for 30 days.

(2) Doxycycline 100 mg, twice a day, for 30 days.

(III) Syphilitic cardiovascular disease

The patient should be hospitalized for treatment. If heart failure occurs, the heart failure should be treated first. When the heart function is compensated, penicillin injection should be started at a small dose, such as aqueous penicillin G, 100,000 units on the first day, once a day, intramuscularly. On the second day, 100,000 U, 2 times/day, intramuscular injection; on the third day, 200,000 U, 2 times/day, intramuscular injection. From the 4th day onwards, treatment was carried out according to the following regimen (to avoid Gibson-Haye reaction, oral prednisone 20 mg/time, once/day, for 3 consecutive days can be taken one day before penicillin injection).

1. Procaine penicillin G 80u/day, intramuscular injection, 15 consecutive days as a course of treatment, two courses in total, with a 2-week break between courses.

2. Tetracycline 500 mg, 4 times/day, for 30 days.

2. TCM treatment methods for syphilis

1. The virus remains

Treatment method: dispel wind and blood, detoxify and clear heat. Prescription: Huanglian Jiedu Decoction with modifications. 15g of Coptis chinensis, 15g of Scutellaria baicalensis, 20g of Phellodendron amurense, and 15g of Gardenia jasminoides. If the exterior symptoms are obvious, add Shuanghua and Lianqiao; if rash appears, add Shengdi and Purslane; if the heat is severe, add buffalo horn and rhubarb.

2. Filthy sores and toxicity

Treatment method: Cool blood, detoxify, resolve blood stasis and dissipate nodules. Prescription: Wuwei Xiaodu Drink with added ingredients. Taraxacum mongolicum 20g, double flower 25g, wild chrysanthemum 20g, phyllanthus chinensis 20g, and skyranthes atractylodes 15g. Add 6g of toad venom, 15g of rhubarb, and 0.6g of rhinoceros horn. 3. Treatment for residual poison in children: clear blood and detoxify, promote blood circulation and dispel wind. Prescription: Shengma Jiedu Decoction with added ingredients. 5g of Cimicifuga heracleifolia, 5g of fresh Gleditsia sinensis thorns, and 7.5g of Smilax glabra. Add Atractylodes lancea, dried tangerine peel, Portulaca oleracea, and Phellodendron chinense.

3. The experimental recipe for myrica sylvestris: 10 whole insects, 10g of large centipede, 120g of double flower, and 120g of raw rhubarb. Decoction in clear water and take frequently.

4. 1500g of wild yam, 500g of raw astragalus, and 400g of angelica. First boil the wild yam into a soup, take the chrysanthemum and angelica, stir-fry lightly, grind into dry powder, and make into pills with honey. Take 15g each time, 3 times a day, one dose is effective.
