How to prevent the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis

As we age, the chance of developing rheumatoid arthritis becomes higher and higher. This disease can cause great pain to patients, so we should do preventive work as early as possible to prevent ourselves from suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. There are several main symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. If you have already developed these symptoms, you should start taking active preventive measures.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a common acute or chronic connective tissue inflammation. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that wind, cold, dampness and heat invade the human body and stay in the meridians, muscles, joints and other parts, causing poor circulation of qi and blood. It can be divided into moving arthralgia, fixed arthralgia, painful arthralgia and hot arthralgia. The main manifestations of Xingbi are pain in the limb joints, the pain wanders, and the joints cannot bend and extend normally.

Dr. Wei Fengyi, a famous immunology expert in my country, introduced the following six clinical manifestations of rheumatoid arthritis:

1. Pain

Joint pain is the most common symptom of rheumatism. Pain may occur in joints throughout the body, but pain in the limbs and trunk may cause lesions in the internal organs and nervous system.

2. Muscle pain

Muscles may also experience pain symptoms, and may also experience muscle weakness, elevated muscle enzymes, and myogenic damage, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, mixed connective tissue disease, dermatomyositis, etc.

3. Irregular fever

Before rheumatism appears, there will be irregular fever, no chills, and antibiotic treatment will be ineffective. At the same time, there will be a rapid erythrocyte sedimentation rate. Systemic lupus erythematosus, acute neutrophilic febrile dermatosis, adult Still's disease, and panniculitis can all have fever as the first symptom.

4. Skin and mucous membrane symptoms

Dermatomyositis, Sjögren's syndrome, Behcet's syndrome, sebaceous membrane inflammation, etc. may cause rash, oral ulcers, skin ulcers, reticular cyanosis, eye symptoms, etc.

5. Raynaud's disease

The fingertips will turn white when exposed to cold or when the mood changes, then turn purple, and finally turn red and be accompanied by numbness, pain, and severe skin ulcers. This can be seen in rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and mixed connective tissue disease.

6. Abnormal autoantibody blood indicators

Anti-ENA antibodies, anti-ds-DNA antibodies, antiplatelet antibodies, antinuclear antibodies, anticardiolipin antibodies, rheumatoid factor, etc.

So how should we prevent rheumatoid arthritis?

Strengthen your physical fitness

To prevent rheumatoid arthritis, friends are required to strengthen exercise, enhance physical fitness, and regularly participate in physical exercise, such as health gymnastics, qigong, Tai Chi, radio gymnastics, walking, etc., which are very beneficial. Not only can it prevent rheumatoid arthritis, it can also improve the body's resistance and prevent the occurrence of various diseases.

Avoid cold weather

To prevent rheumatoid arthritis, you also need to pay attention to avoiding the invasion of wind, cold and dampness, prevent cold, rain and moisture, pay attention to keeping the joints warm, do not wear wet clothes, wet shoes, wet socks, etc. These are the key to preventing rheumatoid arthritis.

Pay attention to infection control

Preventing and controlling infection is also one of the ways to prevent rheumatoid arthritis. Some experts believe that rheumatoid arthritis occurs when the human body has an immune response to these infectious pathogens. Therefore, to prevent rheumatoid arthritis, we must pay attention to controlling the occurrence of infection.

Keep a calm mind

Preventing rheumatoid arthritis also requires friends to have a calm mind, because mental stimulation, excessive sadness, depression, etc. may all induce rheumatoid arthritis. Moreover, mood swings often make rheumatoid arthritis worse.
