It can be seen that we cannot restrict the consumption of lean meat just because it contains less saturated fatty acids. Generally speaking, the amount of meat that an adult should eat per day should be 1 to 2 taels, which can be increased or decreased appropriately according to personal weight and obesity level. If protein supplementation is needed, the intake of milk and soy products can be appropriately increased.

Western nutritionists believe that the incidence of breast cancer and colorectal cancer in Asian countries such as China and Japan is lower than that in Western countries. This is related to the frequent consumption of soybeans and soy products in Asian countries. Soybeans contain an anti-cancer active substance called isoflavones, 2/3 of which are genistein, which have obvious anti-mutagenic effects on strong carcinogens such as benzo(a)pyrene and methylbenzanthracene, and have a strong inhibitory effect on breast cancer and colorectal cancer. Therefore, people are encouraged to eat less lean meat and more soybeans and their products to maintain their health.
