How to clean the range hood correctly

The range hood is a must-have item in the kitchen. It can help to remove the fumes in the kitchen, but over time there will be a lot of oil on the range hood. Many people don’t know how to clean the range hood. There are correct steps to clean the range hood so as not to damage the internal structure.

1. Before activation

Before starting a new range hood, sprinkle a thin layer of soap powder in the two oil storage boxes, and then fill them with about one-third of water. In this way, the recovered oil will float on the water surface instead of condensing on the wall of the box. Wait until the waste oil is almost full, pour it out and repeat the same process.

2. Water storage and cleaning

Filter out the top layer of waste oil in the range hood oil storage box, which is the "best remover" for cleaning stains on ventilation fans, stoves and range hoods. The specific method is to dip the waste oil into a rag or a torn towel and apply it to the oily area. After soaking for about half a minute, wipe it off with a cloth, and then wipe it with a clean scouring pad. At this time, the body of the range hood is so bright that you can "look in the mirror"

3. Cleaning of plastic wrap

In addition to the "water storage cleaning method" mentioned above, you can stick a layer of plastic wrap inside the box or put a small plastic bag filled with tangerines on the inner wall of the oil storage box, ensuring that the plastic film or plastic bag completely covers the inner surface of the box and can "hold" the adsorbed waste oil. Then, after a period of time, pump it out and replace it, and the oil storage box will be basically clean.

4. Fan blade cleaning

The oil net protecting the fan blades can be slowly removed with a screwdriver, sprayed with "Oil Fume Cleaner" and placed in a plastic bag. Let it sit for 15 minutes before taking it out. Pour 80°C hot water into a basin and clean it carefully with a rag. If the grease on the oil net is very thick, you can also use a thin bamboo piece to gently scrape off some of the grease before cleaning it.
