Symptoms of spinal ligament inflammation Treatment methods of spinal diseases

Spinal ligamentitis is a type of spinal disease that seriously affects people's health. Therefore, in order not to cause more harm to physical health, it must be treated in a timely manner. So what are the symptoms of spinal ligamentitis? In fact, it happens when local swelling, pain, etc. appear in the body.

Spinal ligamentitis is caused by a sterile inflammation; the spinous processes of the spine are connected to each other by supraspinous ligaments and interspinous ligaments. Common symptoms of ligament inflammation include local swelling, pain, bruises, and limited limb movement. The etiology and pathogenesis are external forces that damage the tendons, muscles and bones, leading to obstruction of the meridians and stagnation of qi and blood.

There are many treatments for cervical spondylosis, which need to be selected according to different situations. If the tolerance is strong, it can be treated through local injection, small needle knife, hook needle, osteopathy, traction, etc. If your tolerance is poor, you can try massage, physical therapy, medication, ointment, etc. Usually, be careful not to lower your head for long periods of time, use a low pillow when sleeping, and avoid getting cold.

Physical therapy can improve local blood circulation, relax spasmodic muscles and relieve symptoms. The methods can include high frequency (microwave, ultrashort wave), low and medium frequency electrotherapy (such as TENS, intermittent electrotherapy, computer medium frequency), ultrasound, magnetic therapy, etc.

The role of exercise therapy

The main purpose and effect of cervical spondylosis exercise therapy is to do medical gymnastics. The purpose and effect of medical gymnastics for cervical spondylosis are mainly two aspects: (1) through relaxing exercises in all directions of the neck, the blood circulation in the cervical spine area is activated, the blood stasis and edema are eliminated, and at the same time, the cervical ligaments are stretched and the spasmodic muscles are relaxed, thereby alleviating symptoms; (2) strengthening the neck muscles, enhancing their tolerance to fatigue, and improving the stability of the cervical spine, thereby consolidating the treatment effect and preventing recurrence.

Life care:

1. Pillows and sleep: The center of the pillow should be slightly concave, with a height of 12 to 16 cm. The neck should be resting on the pillow and not hanging in the air, so that the head can be kept slightly tilted back. For those who are accustomed to sleeping on their side, the pillow should be at the same height as the shoulder. When sleeping, do not lie down and read, and do not put your hands above your head for a long time.

2. Avoid hyperextension and hyperflexion of the neck: Patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy should avoid hyperextension and hyperflexion of the neck when washing their face, brushing their teeth, drinking water, and writing.
