Symptoms of periodontitis, three symptoms to watch out for

Periodontitis is a common type of malocclusion and has caused trouble to many people's daily lives. The main symptoms of this disease include red and swollen gums and bleeding. If the patient's condition is more serious, the teeth may even become loose in the later stages.

1. The main symptoms are red, swollen and bleeding gums. Not only does the gums bleed when brushing teeth, but sometimes it also bleeds when talking or biting hard objects. Occasionally, spontaneous bleeding may also occur. The gums are dark red in color and appear shiny due to edema.

2. In the early stage of periodontitis, teeth will not become loose. Only when the chronic destructive inflammation develops to a certain extent and the supporting force of the periodontal tissue is greatly weakened, will the teeth become loose. Gum recession is also a symptom of periodontitis, but it is often not noticeable to patients.

3. Periodontitis is a chronic inflammation that affects the gums and periodontal tissues. It is a destructive disease characterized by the formation of periodontal pockets and inflammation of the pocket walls, alveolar bone resorption and gradual loosening of teeth. It is the main cause of tooth loss in adults. This disease is mostly caused by plaque, tartar, food impaction, poor restorations, bite trauma, etc., which cause the gums to become inflamed and swollen, and at the same time aggravate the accumulation of plaque and spread from above the gums to below the gums. Due to the characteristics of the subgingival microecological environment, a large number of highly virulent periodontal pathogens, such as Bacteroides gingivalis, Bacteroides intermedia, spirochetes, etc., grow in the subgingival plaque, aggravating and spreading the inflammation of the gums, leading to the formation of periodontal pockets and alveolar bone absorption, causing periodontitis.

The final result of periodontitis is loose teeth and premature tooth loss, and it may also induce other dental diseases, so early detection and early treatment are crucial. The population at high risk of periodontitis is getting younger and younger, so young friends should pay special attention to oral diseases, so as not to lose a healthy set of teeth at a young age! !
