What is causing the pain in the joints of your hands and feet? Beware of rheumatism

The most important reason for joint pain in hands and feet is rheumatism. The main part affected by rheumatism is the joints. For rheumatism, you need to take good care of yourself, take medicine on time, and add high-protein, high-vitamin, and high-fiber foods to your diet.

1. Common symptoms:

1. Rheumatic diseases mostly involve joint lesions and symptoms, which can be as high as 70-80%. About 50% only experience pain, while severe cases have comprehensive inflammatory manifestations such as redness, swelling, heat, pain and impaired function; most of the time, multiple joints are affected. The size of the joints affected varies depending on the type of disease.

2. Heterogeneity, that is, the same disease has different subtypes. Due to different genetic backgrounds, causes and mechanisms, the types, symptoms, severity and treatment responses of clinical manifestations are also different.

3. Rheumatic diseases are mostly multi-system diseases. The pathologies of many diseases overlap and the symptoms are similar. MCTD is a typical example of this.

4. Various antibodies and immune complexes (CIC) appear in the serum and can be deposited in tissues (skin, synovium) or organs (kidney, liver) to cause disease.

2. Rheumatism care

Daily care

1. Be sympathetic, understanding, considerate and helpful to patients so that they have the courage and confidence to overcome the disease.

2. The home environment should be kept clean and quiet, the items used by the patient should be easily accessible, and facilities such as tables, chairs, beds, toilets or bathtubs should be suitable for the patient's needs. Delicious food, regular indoor and outdoor activities, and beneficial cultural entertainment will relieve the patient's pain.

3. Supervise patients to take medication and exercise. Urge patients to take medication on time, and guide and assist them in performing joint function exercises. Encourage patients to take care of themselves, such as dressing, eating, and walking.

3. Diet and health care

1. High protein. Rheumatoid arthritis patients suffer from long-term chronic consumption and often have symptoms such as fever, muscle atrophy, anemia, protein deficiency, and osteoporosis throughout the body, so they should increase their intake of high-quality protein. Eating fish protein 2-3 times a week can improve vascular elasticity and permeability, increase urinary sodium excretion, and thus lower blood pressure. Eat more meat, eggs, milk, and legumes.

2. High in vitamins. Patients with rheumatic diseases should supplement vitamins and eat more carrots, rapeseed, spinach, leeks, red fruits, fresh dates, bell peppers, tomatoes, cauliflower, rapeseed, etc.

3. High in fiber. Cellulose can maintain the stability of human blood sugar, such as spinach, black fungus, wheat bran, cereals, barley, oatmeal, potatoes, sweet potatoes, black beans, red beans, etc.
