How to eat mustard?

Buckwheat is an uncommon grain, often used as coarse grain in northern regions. It is a food ingredient with high nutritional value. Buckwheat production is scarce, so not many people know about it, especially in terms of edibility, most people don’t know how to eat it. However, this ingredient is indeed edible, and there are many ways to eat it. Let’s take a look at how to eat mustard.

1. Cook buckwheat rice into porridge.

Because buckwheat rice is a coarse grain with a rough taste, we usually eat buckwheat rice by adding rice, millet, mung beans, coix seeds, etc. into the pot and cooking until the rice grains are cooked. You can also add 3 to 5 red dates for a better taste.

2. Buckwheat rice.

Soak the buckwheat rice for about 10 minutes before cooking. This will soften the buckwheat rice slightly, making it not too hard to eat and having a better taste. Then, add the usual amount of water and cook the rice for the usual amount of time.

Additional information

Among the magnesium-rich cereals recommended by nutritionists, buckwheat ranks first. It can regulate blood pressure, resist arrhythmia, and prevent atherosclerosis, and is a protective umbrella for the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems.

Buckwheat also contains niacin and rutin. Rutin can lower blood lipids and cholesterol, soften blood vessels, and prevent cerebral hemorrhage. The amount of niacin is 3 to 4 times that of wheat, and has the effect of dilating small blood vessels and lowering cholesterol.

The flavonoids contained in buckwheat have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antitussive, expectorant and antiasthmatic effects. Therefore, buckwheat is also known as the "anti-inflammatory food". In addition, these ingredients can also effectively lower blood sugar.

Buckwheat is cool in nature, so don't eat too much buckwheat noodles or other foods at one time, especially those with weak spleen and stomach should eat less or not eat it.

Buckwheat rice has many benefits and functions, and is suitable for patients with gastrointestinal stagnation, abdominal bloating and constipation, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer. However, people with weak spleen and stomach, poor digestive function, and frequent diarrhea should not eat it.

Buckwheat rice is not easy to digest, so don't eat too much at one time, otherwise it will cause indigestion or bloating.

Buckwheat rice is known as "anti-inflammatory food", so it has good effects of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, relieving cough and asthma, relieving fatigue and expectorant. It can be eaten by people with facial acne and rosacea.
