Modern people have bad eye habits and often use electronic products, mobile phones, computers, etc. This will cause visual fatigue, myopia, amblyopia, hyperopia and other eye diseases. This requires us to do preventive work in our daily lives. Of course, we can eat some eye-nourishing foods frequently, but after overusing our eyes, we can massage our eyes appropriately. So how do we massage the acupoints around the eyes? This is a question worth discussing. Usually, we have to find the acupoints that cause visual fatigue first before we can massage them and achieve a certain effect. The skin around the eyes is the most delicate. Eyes are the most active and conspicuous part of the body, so the care of the skin around the eyes cannot be neglected. There are many acupoints around the eyes. Acupoint massage has the effects of dredging meridians and collaterals, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, harmonizing Qi and blood, preventing and treating wrinkles, delaying aging, and refining the skin. When we apply eye cream, massage, apply eye mask, or even in our spare time, pressing and massaging the acupoints around the eyes is very helpful for the care of the eye skin. Among the acupoints around the eyes, five major points are the most effective for skin care and are easiest to master. They are: Jingming point, Chengqi point, Tongziliao point, Zanzhu point, and Yuyao point. If you are not familiar with these five major acupoints, you can refer to my homemade pictures to get a general intuitive understanding of the distribution of the acupoints. Specifically, the Jingming point is located at the upper inner corner of the eye socket, 1 cm away from the inner canthus; the Chengqi point is directly below the pupil when looking straight ahead, between the eyeball and the lower edge of the eye socket; the Tongziliao point is in the depression about one finger width outside the corner of the eye; the Zanzhu point is at the inner end of the eyebrow, that is, at the beginning of the eyebrow; and the Yuyao point is in the slightly depressed area in the middle of the eyebrow. The Jingming point can mainly relieve the problems of redness and swelling of the eyes and tears caused by wind. When the eyes are comfortable, the chance of the eye skin being pulled is greatly reduced. Chengqi point is also effective in relieving redness and swelling of the eyes, tears caused by wind, and can also control bags under the eyes. The Tongziliao point can relieve eye fatigue and congestion and fight against crow's feet. The Zanzhu point and Yuyao point are very effective in controlling ptosis and swelling of the upper eyelid. There are many acupoints mentioned above, and everyone should be familiar with them so that you can understand how to massage the acupoints around the eyes.
