What nutrients are absorbed slowly by the stomach?

Health is very important to us. To maintain health, we must supplement enough nutrition. Some people will suffer from anemia symptoms, and at this time they must eat some high-nutrition substances. But some people around us don’t have very good stomachs and sometimes even have stomach problems. For these people, it is difficult to digest some high-nutrition foods, so what nutrients are absorbed slowly by the stomach?

The esophagus is primarily a tube through which food passes, with little to no digestion and absorption of nutrients. The stomach is the most expanded part of the digestive tract. It secretes gastric juice, temporarily stores food and initially digests food. Protein begins to be chemically digested and is pushed to the small intestine through the peristalsis of the stomach. The small intestine is the longest section of the digestive tract. It is long and slender, with circular folds, intestinal villi and microvilli, which increase the area for water to digest food and absorb nutrients. The walls of the small intestine, capillary lymphatic vessels and capillaries are very thin, consisting of only a layer of epithelial cells, which is conducive to the absorption of nutrients. Therefore, the small intestine is the main place for digesting food and absorbing nutrients. The large intestine mainly absorbs a small amount of water, inorganic salts, vitamins and other nutrients.

Most of the stomach's function is digestion. The stomach absorbs only part of the water and all the alcohol, and the rest is absorbed in the duodenum and small intestine. The slowest digested substance is fat, and by the time it is absorbed, all the substances are almost complete.

Difficult to digest food:

Fried foods

Fried foods like fried chicken nuggets and French fries are inevitably high in oil and fat, and these two substances can cause disease when accumulated in the stomach. When exposed to high temperatures, oil will produce a substance called "acrylic acid", which is difficult to digest.

Countermeasure: In fact, if you want to satisfy your appetite, you can give up frying and still get a delicious feeling. For example, if you want to enjoy the crunchy feeling, eating salty potato chips is definitely unhealthy, but you can find other ways to make potato chips, such as baking instead of frying, or choosing to eat low-fat or fat-free foods.

There are many delicious foods for us, some of which are highly nutritious fried foods. Although they are delicious, they will have a great impact on our stomach. Therefore, we must avoid the intake of difficult-to-digest foods as much as possible. For our own health, we should eat more easily digestible foods. You can refer to what the editor introduced.
