How to treat a severe cold and fever

When we have a severe cold and fever, we often don’t know what to do. At this time, we don’t know whether to take medicine, or get an IV drip, or just drink more water and get some sleep without taking medicine? So today I’m going to tell you how to treat a severe cold and fever?

Theoretically, the cold is a self-limiting disease. Even if you don't take medicine, as long as you drink plenty of water and take good care of yourself, you can recover on your own in about a week. However, if it does not heal itself within a week, you should go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible.

The treatment of cold and fever is mainly symptomatic. It is recommended to take medicine after the body temperature exceeds 38.5℃ after the fever caused by the cold. The commonly used one is dilno ibuprofen suspension, the ibuprofen component of which has antipyretic and analgesic effects. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and a cyclooxygenase inhibitor. It has few side effects at regular doses and is used to relieve symptoms such as fever, headache, sore limbs, sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and sore throat caused by the common cold and influenza.

Cold

Ginger drink: 30 grams of ginger and 30 grams of brown sugar, decoct the soup and take it in 3 times.

Vegetable root and ginger drink: 1 cabbage stem and 1 radish root, cut into thick slices, 3 slices of ginger, 50 grams of brown sugar, add appropriate amount of water, boil for 3 to 5 minutes, and drink hot.

Wind-heat cold

Mulberry leaf and mint drink: 5 grams of mulberry leaves, 5 grams of chrysanthemum, 3 grams of mint, and 30 grams of bitter bamboo leaves. Wash the above medicines with clean water, put them in a teapot, soak them with boiling water for 10 minutes, and drink them at any time.

Honeysuckle and mint drink: 30 grams of honeysuckle, 10 grams of mint, and 60 grams of fresh reed root. First, add 500 ml of water to honeysuckle and reed root, boil for 15 minutes, then add mint and boil for 3 minutes, filter out and add appropriate amount of sugar, take warm, 3 to 4 times a day

The above two prescriptions are suitable for people to treat themselves at home. By taking relevant preventive measures in daily life, you can actually avoid severe colds and fevers.
