Blood test can tell you your life span

Blood test can tell you your life span

The era of predicting the date of death is coming! Scientists from Finland and Estonia have discovered a new blood test method. Surprisingly, the discovery shows that a simple blood test can predict how long a person will live, regardless of whether they are sick or not.

The deceased all have 4 similar biological markers

The experiment took five years to conduct blood tests on 17,000 healthy samples, during which time 684 people died from the disease. Through nuclear magnetic resonance imaging technology, scientists discovered that these deceased people all had four similar biological markers.

The plasma albumin, α-1-acid glycoprotein, low-density lipoprotein particle size and citrate index in their blood showed an upward trend. Therefore, the study found that if these four data in a person's blood increase, it means that he or she is very likely to die within the next five years.

Biomarkers are warning signs of problems

Those in the top 20% for these indicators were 19 times more likely to die from heart disease or cancer than those in the lowest 20%. Researchers believe this biomarker is a warning sign that something is wrong with the body.

Dr. Johannes Kettunen from Finland said: "It is very interesting that these indicators reflect the death that people may face. We believe that in the near future, we can check out some people who appear healthy but actually have serious diseases and help them get timely treatment. If the research is successful, it will be widely used in the future." However, more research is needed before the research results can be applied to clinical practice. However, I am concerned about whether insurance companies will use this information to modify the insured's premiums.
