What's wrong with my thighs being sore?

It is very common to feel soreness in both thigh roots, and there are many reasons for this situation. It is usually caused by lesions in the hip joints or the bones in the thigh roots. Obesity and long-term body load can also easily cause this situation. You can do a bone examination early to make a judgment.

What's wrong with the soreness in both thighs?

In the case of thigh groin pain, there may be hip joint disease. It is recommended to go to the hospital for a diagnosis and do an MRI of the hip joint to make a clear diagnosis. The next step of treatment will be decided based on the examination results. It is currently recommended to rest and avoid excessive activity.

Hip arthritis generally refers to a type of osteoarthritis caused by long-term uneven load on the hip joint surface, resulting in degeneration of articular cartilage or changes in bone structure. Its main manifestations include pain in the outer side of the buttocks, groin and other parts (which may radiate to the knee), swelling, joint effusion, cartilage wear, bone spur proliferation, joint deformity, limited internal rotation and extension of the hip, inability to walk and even bedridden.

Causes

The cause of the disease is unknown, but it is generally believed to be related to factors such as aging, trauma, inflammation, obesity, metabolism and metabolism.

1. Obesity

There is a direct correlation between weight gain and the incidence of hip arthritis. Obesity is an aggravating factor. Weight loss in obese people can reduce the incidence of hip arthritis.

2. Cartilage structure

As cartilage becomes thinner and stiffer, its tolerance for stress decreases, increasing the chances of developing hip arthritis.

3. Withstanding trauma and external forces

When joints are subjected to unbalanced muscle force and local pressure, cartilage degeneration occurs. Osteoarthritis does not occur with normal joint movement or even after strenuous exercise.

4. Genetic factors

The impact of genetic factors on osteoarthritis may include congenital structural abnormalities and defects (such as congenital hip dislocation, capital femoral epiphysis dislocation, etc.), abnormal cartilage or bone metabolism, obesity and osteoporosis, etc.

Clinical manifestations

The disease has an insidious onset, slow progression, and a history of long-term strain, and is more common in middle-aged and elderly patients. The main symptoms are gait disturbance and hip pain during activity or weight bearing. Hip pain may radiate through the obturator nerve to the groin, thigh, and knee. There may also be a feeling of soreness and swelling around the buttocks and the greater trochanter of the femur, radiating to the posterior and lateral sides of the thigh.

examine

1. Recurrent hip pain in the past month.

2. X-rays show the formation of osteophytes, hyperplasia of the acetabular rim, and narrowing of the hip joint space.
