Eight tips to help your skin cool down without delay

Recently, the north has overtaken the south and entered the hot summer ahead of schedule, with the highest temperature reaching 42 degrees. It is urgent to save the skin from the heat! How can we properly cool down the skin and maintain the skin at the same time? Let's take a look below.

1. Reduce foundation if possible, but don’t reduce primer

Whether you are outdoors or indoors for a long time, you should appropriately reduce the steps of foundation and the types of products used, but you cannot skip the isolation. It is best to use an isolation cream with contouring and concealer effects to isolate the skin from external damage. Allowing the pores to breathe freely can cool down the skin significantly.

2. Don’t be careless about the amount of sunscreen you use

The higher the SPF, the thicker the texture of the sunscreen, which can easily clog pores and increase the warming sensation on the skin. Therefore, when applying sunscreen, you must follow the one-dollar coin principle and do not let the sunscreen, which is supposed to block the temperature, become an accelerator instead.

3. Carry a cooling spray with you

In the hot summer, portable sprays are indispensable. Choose those with a refreshing feeling to cool down, which not only hydrates and moisturizes but also provides a cool feeling. Or you can use a sunscreen spray instead. Sunscreen spray contains more or less alcohol, so that the sunscreen can be sprayed smoothly. Alcohol has a cooling effect, so you can choose to use a spray-type sunscreen product for reapplication when you are outdoors. But people with sensitive skin should be careful and do not use sunscreen spray too often.

4. Hair heat insulation care can not be saved

Hair is exposed to sunlight, ultraviolet rays and heat several times more than the face, and hair cannot regulate its temperature like the skin. The heat from the hair is transmitted to the scalp and then to the nerve centers, and the sensation of heat is doubled. It is best to have a sunscreen that is universal for face, body, and hair. If not, use hair care products with heat-insulating properties to cool your hair and scalp.

5. Mix peppermint and lemon essential oils into the lotion

To relieve heat, you can't just defend yourself, you also have to take the initiative. Peppermint and lemon essential oils have a cooling and refreshing effect. They are suitable for applying to the temples, philtrum, and forehead with lotion before going out to cool down in advance.

Essential oil blending method: Except for compound essential oils that can be used directly, single essential oils must be blended before being applied to the body. When adding peppermint essential oil to existing skin care products, the proportion should not be too high. Generally speaking, the upper limit of the number of drops to be added is the volume of the skin care products divided by 5. The best way is to mix as much as you need. There is no need to mix the entire bottle of skin care product, which is not conducive to preservation.

6. Freeze the tools, not the products

Unless it is a sheet mask or cosmetics marked as refrigerated, do not blindly store it in the refrigerator. Doing so will destroy the active ingredients contained in the cosmetics themselves and reduce their effects by half. So you can choose to put cotton pads, cotton swabs, handkerchiefs, and sterilized silver spoons in a clean container, seal it and put it in the refrigerator. This way, when you take them out and use them with cosmetics, it will also have a cooling effect.

7. Stopping sweat does not mean cooling down

The mechanism of antiperspirant products is to block the sweat gland ducts that produce sweat and atrophy the secretory cells, thereby achieving the purpose of reducing sweat secretion; because of the addition of certain spices, they have an elegant fragrance; better quality antiperspirants also contain bactericidal, anti-inflammatory and cooling ingredients. So antiperspirant does not mean cooling down. It is better to use this type of product less unless there is an emergency.

8. Eat less cold drinks and drink more water

Although cold drinks can instantly relieve the body's high temperature, they are not very good for the body. Drinking more water can promote metabolism and naturally cool down.
