Treatment of dislocation

Treatment of dislocation

In daily life, we often suffer physical injuries such as dislocation, abrasions and bleeding due to falls, collisions, etc. We can handle some minor injuries ourselves, but if it is a major injury, we have to go to the hospital for treatment. Among these injuries, dislocation can be said to be one of the more serious ones. There will be obvious deformity at the site of dislocation, and the pain will be particularly severe.

At this time, we need to be special careful not to move the dislocated part. This is because when dislocated, the muscles will spasm and the spasmodic muscles will be wrapped around the bones. If we move around, it will cause severe pain. Next, let us understand what to do when we are dislocated.

1. Shoulder dislocation

Take off your boots, place your feet under the casualty's armpits, and pull the dislocated arm back into place. Another possible but more risky approach is to flex the elbow 90 degrees and use it as a lever to push against the socket to dislodge it. Support your arm in a sling and secure it to your chest with a bandage, and rest.

2. Dislocated fingers

Pull your fingers and then slowly relax them to put the bones back in place. The effect will be better if someone holds the injured person's wrist firmly. This method should only be tried gently with your thumb. If it doesn't work, do not proceed to avoid causing more serious injuries.

3. Palate dislocation

Palate misalignment is often caused by a blow, and sometimes even by yawning! Place a cloth pad over the lower teeth and keep the patient's head steady. Pressing down on the cushion with your thumb while using your fingers to rotate the dislocated palate back and forth will pop it back into place. The head and lower jaw are bandaged for two weeks and the food should be soft.

The above are our corresponding treatment methods when the shoulder is dislocated, the finger is dislocated, and the palate is dislocated. Of course, if our injury is particularly serious, we should go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible. After all, there will be professional doctors there to treat it.
