The role of globulin

The role of globulin

Globulin is a serum protein that exists in the human body. Globulin has immunity. If globulin is normal, it can improve one's resistance to disease. Generally speaking, it is common for the globulin index in the human body to be high. High levels mean that there is a problem with the liver and need timely treatment. However, if it is low, it means malnutrition, insufficient protein intake, etc., which are generally due to physiological reasons. What is the role of globulin?

Globulin is one of the indicators to measure whether the human body is healthy. When the globulin index exceeds the normal index, it needs to be taken seriously. It is very likely that some kind of liver disease has occurred in the body. Many people may not know what role globulin plays in the human body. The following is a detailed introduction for everyone.

1. The role of a1 globulin is of great reference value for the prognosis of hepatitis patients. An increase in a1 globulin indicates mild hepatitis. If a1 globulin decreases, it means that the condition is more serious.

2. The function of a2 globulin is to reflect the severity of hepatitis lesions. In the early stage of hepatitis, a2 globulin will not change. As the hepatitis becomes more serious, a2 globulin will gradually increase. If cirrhosis or even liver cancer occurs, a2 globulin will often decrease.

3. The effect of β-globulin can also reflect the severity of hepatitis. If cholestatic hepatitis occurs, β-globulin will increase, but if the liver is severely damaged, β-globulin will decrease.

4. R-globulin will continue to increase as the disease worsens. The longer the course of the disease and the more serious the disease, the higher the R-globulin value.

Side effects of immunoglobulin

1. Allergic reaction: There is a small amount of IgA in immunoglobulin G. Patients with IgA deficiency may produce anti-IgA Ig antibodies after receiving immunoglobulin G. When receiving immunoglobulin G again, allergic reaction may occur.

2. Systemic reactions: Injection of immunoglobulin may cause fever, chills, rash, nausea, headache, chest tightness, etc. These reactions often occur in the early stages of infusion and are more likely to occur if the infusion rate is too fast. They may also occur many days after infusion and may be related to type III allergic reactions.

The above is an introduction to the role of globulin. It can be seen that globulin has a regulatory effect on the human body. Of course, if the globulin level is low, the side effects and harm to the human body are very large. Therefore, when you are found to have low globulin level, you need to seek timely treatment to avoid worsening of the disease and missing the best treatment time.
