Can lymphoma lead to blood cancer? How is it treated? 1. Lymphoma is a malignant tumor originating from the lymphatic hematopoietic system. Blood cancer, or leukemia, is a malignant clonal disease of hematopoietic stem cells. Clonal leukemia cells accumulate in large quantities in the bone marrow and other hematopoietic tissues, proliferate uncontrollably, and differentiate into other tissues and organs, while inhibiting normal hematopoiesis. The causes of leukemia include viral factors, chemical factors, radioactive elements, and genetic factors. Lymphoma does not cause blood cancer. 2. Lymphoma is highly heterogeneous and treatment varies greatly. Different pathological types and stages of lymphoma vary greatly in treatment intensity and prognosis. There are mainly the following treatment methods for lymphoma, but specific patients should also be analyzed based on their actual conditions. 3. Primary gastrointestinal malignant lymphoma should emphasize surgical treatment. The lesion site can be identified, the lesion tissue can be removed, and a treatment plan can be formulated. The resection rate of lymphoma is higher than that of cancer. Subtotal gastrectomy can be used for gastric lymphoma. Total gastrectomy should be used with caution. Intestinal lymphoma can remove the local lesion intestinal tract and the corresponding mesentery. For endless tumors, silver clips can be used for fixation during surgery to facilitate postoperative radiotherapy. 4. Radiotherapy. Some types of lymphoma can be treated simply with radiotherapy in the early stages. Radiotherapy can also be used as consolidation therapy after chemotherapy and adjuvant therapy during transplantation. 5. Bone marrow transplantation. For patients under 60 years old with medium or high risk, autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation can be performed. Some young patients with relapse or bone marrow invasion can also consider allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. 6. Chemotherapy. Chemotherapy for lymphoma mainly uses combination chemotherapy, which can be combined with targeted therapy drugs and biological agents. In recent years, chemotherapy regimens for lymphoma have been greatly improved, and the survival of many types of lymphoma has been greatly improved. |
