What are the effects of preoperative radiotherapy for lung cancer

Now, according to the purpose to be achieved, radiotherapy for lung cancer is divided into four situations: one is called radical treatment, one is called palliative treatment, and there are preoperative treatment and postoperative treatment. For patients with lung cancer, if lung cancer invades the mediastinum, invades the blood vessels or trachea, and causes corresponding symptoms, radiotherapy can effectively control the further growth of lung cancer and effectively relieve a series of symptoms caused by lung cancer. After radiotherapy for lung cancer before surgery, the lesion is reduced and surgery may be possible.

Causes of unconsciousness in advanced lung cancer

When patients with advanced lung cancer become unconscious, it means that the lung cancer has metastasized through the bloodstream, and it is particularly easy to metastasize to places with rich blood. Lung cancer brain metastasis, varying degrees of cortical dysfunction, and increased intracranial pressure can all cause patients to become unconscious. In severe cases, patients may also experience epileptic seizures on top of unconsciousness. One of the reasons for unconsciousness in advanced lung cancer is the tumor, because lung cancer is likely to metastasize through the bloodstream, and it is particularly easy to metastasize to places with rich blood.

For patients with middle and late stage small cell lung cancer who cannot be effectively treated, the prognosis is poor, and the patient's survival period is usually 1-3 years, or even shorter.
