What to do if double eyelids grow larger after surgery

Many people will have hyperplasia of their double eyelids after double eyelid surgery, especially those with hyperplasia of scars, who are most likely to have this condition. Therefore, when double eyelid surgery is performed, it is necessary to take good care of it after the operation, otherwise the hyperplasia will easily cause the double eyelids to be uneven and look asymmetrical on both sides. In addition, you must choose a regular beauty hospital. So what should you do if your double eyelids grow after surgery?

Hyperplasia, that is, hypertrophic scars. The hyperplasia caused by double eyelid surgery is generally the incision scar after suturing the incision. Hypertrophic scars are characterized by protruding surface, irregular shape, unevenness, redness and congestion, and a firm texture. There is burning and itching sensation.

The manifestation of hypertrophic scars is that the symptoms are aggravated when the ambient temperature increases, when one is emotionally excited, or when one eats spicy or stimulating foods. The characteristics of this scar are: local swelling, hardening and congestion in the early stage, and its tissue structure is covered by a layer of atrophic epithelial cells on the surface, vascular dilation and inflammatory cell infiltration in the middle layer, and less collagen fibers and a large amount of connective tissue hyperplasia in the bottom layer.

This type of scar is higher than the surface of the skin. In the early stages, the local area becomes thickened and hardened, and the capillaries are congested and appear red or dark red. The base of the scar is generally not adhered to the deep tissue, can be pushed, and has little contractility.

Scars are the inevitable product of the human body's trauma repair process. Broadly speaking, there is no trauma healing without scars. The main component of scar tissue is fibrin.

Not everyone will experience hyperplasia. Generally, hyperplasia begins about two weeks after surgery and reaches its peak in more than a month. Most subside around March to June. A few leave obvious scars
