Liver cancer staging standards

The staging standards for liver cancer mainly include: clinical staging, TNM staging, and Barcelona staging.

1. Clinical staging:

Generally, it can be divided into stage I, stage II and stage III. The stage is usually based on the size of the original lesion, penetration depth, range, influence of adjacent organs, local and distant lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis, etc. For example, stage I tumors are generally found, but the patient has no clinical manifestations related to the tumor.

2. TNM staging:

The three letters of TNM represent different meanings, and they can be combined to divide different periods. T represents the size and range of the primary tumor, which is divided into four levels: T1, T2, T3, and T4. N represents regional lymph nodes, which can reflect the lymph node metastasis related to the tumor, including N0, N1, N2, and N3. M represents distant metastasis. The larger the number after the letter, the more serious the situation.

3. Barcelona installment:

It can be divided into five categories: early stage, early stage, middle stage, late stage and terminal stage, among which the early stage can be divided into four subgroups A1, A2, A3 and A4. It has a strong ability to classify and predict prognosis. By monitoring high-risk groups, it can identify early-stage liver cancer patients for diagnosis and treatment.
