What is the level of TG control in hemisection of thyroid cancer

The level of TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) controlled in hemisection of thyroid cancer is usually related to the type of thyroid cancer. Thyroid cancer mainly includes papillary thyroid cancer, follicular thyroid cancer, medullary thyroid cancer, and anaplastic thyroid cancer.

1. Papillary thyroid cancer: It is the most common thyroid cancer, accounting for 1% of the total body tumors. In addition, there are medullary carcinoma and anaplastic carcinoma. After hemisection of papillary thyroid cancer, the thyroid stimulating hormone can be controlled at around 0.1mIU/L. If it is higher than this value, you should follow the doctor's advice to add levothyroxine sodium tablets for replacement therapy;

2. Follicular thyroid cancer: It accounts for 10%-20% of thyroid cancer. This type of thyroid cancer grows slowly and has no early metastatic symptoms. The serum TSH level is usually controlled within the normal range, generally controlled below 0.1mIU/L.

3. Medullary thyroid cancer: It refers to a malignant tumor originating from the parafollicular cells of the thyroid gland. It has a higher incidence in children and is a type of differentiated thyroid cancer with a better prognosis. After hemisection of this type of thyroid cancer, the thyroid-stimulating hormone level can be controlled above the upper limit of the normal value.

4. Anaplastic thyroid cancer: It is the most malignant thyroid cancer. After surgery, drugs such as levothyroxine sodium tablets are needed to maintain TSH levels below 0.5mIU/L.

Due to different pathological types, patients need to take multiple drugs after surgery, and the dosage should be adjusted according to the doctor's instructions. At the same time, patients should also pay attention to keeping warm, avoid colds, eat light food, avoid spicy and irritating foods, and need to be reviewed on time.
