Is it okay to abuse testosterone if you want to become a man? Be careful of prostate cancer

In modern cities, competition for jobs is fierce, and many men want to continue to stand tall in high positions. They are under tremendous pressure, and their testosterone levels gradually decrease due to stress factors. Once testosterone is insufficient, people will lack spirit, confidence, vitality and sexual desire. Testosterone supplementation therapy can improve men's concentration and make them more confident at work. However, if abused, it will bring health risks.

Studies have found that if men with prostate cancer or breast cancer abuse androgen, it will accelerate the progression of the disease. For other men, short-term testosterone supplementation can increase cardiovascular elasticity and make the heart beat more powerfully, but long-term use will cause the heart to continue to be excited and accelerate heart damage.

Men can take appropriate supplements during menopause

After the age of 40, men will experience a decline in testosterone secretion, but in recent years, due to the aggravation of unhealthy lifestyles, this time has tended to be earlier. After the decline of testosterone, a series of organ and system dysfunctions will occur, which is called "male menopause", and its scientific name is "delayed hypogonadism". Some people will feel tired, lack of concentration, memory loss, less sleep, lack of interest in things around them, and reduced work ability. Some patients feel dizzy, palpitations, cold limbs, and pain in unclear parts, but no abnormalities are found in physical examinations. Most men will think that these are natural problems caused by aging, or caused by too much stress recently, and will choose to "overcome" them by themselves.

For this reason, it is recommended that men should undergo their first testosterone test after the age of 40, and this should be included in their annual physical examinations, so that they can clearly understand whether they are deficient in androgen. If your testosterone and bioactive testosterone are lower than normal and you have some of the symptoms mentioned above, your doctor will recommend testosterone supplementation therapy. If testosterone is used under the guidance of a doctor and monitored more closely, the risks can still be reduced and avoided.
