How long can you live after bone cancer amputation

We are all very worried about the occurrence of bone cancer. In today's society, many people do not pay attention to their own health and rest, which can easily increase the chance of disease. We need to pay attention to receiving reasonable treatment methods and pay attention to conditioning methods and comprehensive care in daily life. So, how long can you live after amputation due to bone cancer?

There is no accurate number for how long a person with bone cancer can live, because each patient's cancer cell spread, treatment methods, drug absorption, physical constitution, and mental state are all different. If it is an early-stage bone cancer patient, the survival rate is longer, generally about two to three years. If it is a late-stage disease, the survival period is only about six months to one year, and some patients even only have a survival period of a few months.
The main cause of death from bone cancer is that there are many symptoms in the patient, and the cancer cells will spread throughout the body and cause other complications. Bone cancer will cause pain in the early stages, which is also the main symptom. It is mild pain at first, but as the disease progresses, the pain will worsen and will be persistent. There will be lumps under the periosteum or superficially.
Not only that, bone cancer can also impair the patient's function, accompanied by muscle atrophy in the painful area. If tumors grow in the cranial cavity and nasal cavity, these tumors will compress the brain and nasal tissues, causing difficulty breathing, urination difficulties if the bladder is compressed, and paralysis if the spine is compressed. Some severe patients will also have lower limb deformities and pathological fractures. In the late stage, there will be symptoms such as progressive weight loss, anemia, and cachexia.
