According to traditional Chinese medicine, the so-called constitution refers to the comprehensive and relatively stable inherent characteristics of morphological structure, physiological function and psychological state formed in the course of human life on the basis of innate endowment (inherited from parents) and acquired qualities, which are what we usually call individual differences.

1. Constitution type: Peaceful constitution

A balanced constitution is a normal constitution. People with this constitution have a well-proportioned and strong body, moist complexion and skin, thick and shiny hair, bright eyes, rosy lips, are not easily fatigued, are energetic, have good sleep and appetite, normal urination and defecation, an easy-going and cheerful personality, and rarely get sick.

2. Constitution type: Yang deficiency constitution

People with yang deficiency constitution have weak muscles, sometimes feel cold hands and feet, are afraid of cold in the stomach, back or waist and knees, wear more clothes than others, do not like to use air conditioning in summer, like quietness, feel uncomfortable eating or drinking cold food, are prone to loose stools, and have clear urine with large amount. 3. Constitution type: Yin deficiency constitution

People with Yin deficiency constitution are usually tall and thin. They often feel hot in their hands and soles, their faces are flushed or reddish, and they cannot tolerate the summer heat. They often feel dry eyes, dry mouth and throat, always want to drink water, have dry skin, irritable temperament, are extroverted and active, have a reddish tongue and less coating. 6. Constitution type: Qi stagnation constitution

People with Qi Yu constitution are thin, often feel depressed and low in mood, easily nervous and anxious, sentimental, emotionally fragile, easily afraid or easily frightened, often feel pain and distension in the breasts and flanks, often have a feeling of chest tightness, often sigh for no reason, often have a feeling of blockage or foreign body in the throat, and are prone to insomnia. Looks depressed, worried and fragile. The disease tendencies include insomnia, depression, neurosis, breast hyperplasia, etc.

7. Constitution type: Blood stasis constitution

People with blood stasis constitution have dark complexion, dark lips, and purple veins under the tongue. The skin is relatively rough and sometimes bruises may appear without you noticing. There are a lot of red bloodshot in my eyes, and my gums bleed easily when I brush my teeth. Easily irritable, forgetful, and impatient.

Countermeasures: Eat foods that can promote qi and blood circulation, eat more hawthorn, vinegar, rose, kumquat and other foods that have the effects of promoting blood circulation, dispersing nodules, promoting qi, soothing the liver and relieving depression, and eat less fatty meat and other greasy foods. 8. Constitution type: Phlegm-damp constitution

People with phlegm-dampness constitution are obese and have a fat and soft abdomen. Sweating easily. I often feel my limbs are sore, heavy and uncomfortable.
