How to diagnose liver cancer so that it can be discovered as early as possible? Four common examination methods for diagnosing liver cancer

If viral hepatitis is present, a serum level of 400 μg/L is considered to be highly suspicious of liver cancer. It is important to cooperate with imaging examinations as soon as possible to achieve early detection, early diagnosis, and early treatment. There are four common methods for diagnosing liver cancer:

First, the most commonly used method is liver ultrasound examination. This is a non-invasive examination, which is simple to operate, intuitive and convenient, accurate and non-invasive, low-cost, widely available, and does not cause any harm to human tissue. It can be used for liver cancer screening and follow-up after treatment.

Secondly, CT examination has been called an important routine means of diagnosing liver cancer. Abdominal enhanced CT scan can clearly reflect the size, shape, number, location, boundary, tumor blood supply and relationship with intrahepatic ducts of liver cancer, which is of great significance for further clarifying the diagnosis and distinguishing from other benign liver space-occupying lesions, clarifying the staging and grading of liver cancer, guiding treatment and judging prognosis.

Secondly, liver-specific MRI examination can effectively improve the detection rate of small hepatocellular carcinoma and is of great help in distinguishing focal hyperplastic nodules of the liver, hepatic adenomas, etc. It can be used as an important supplementary method for CT examination.

Finally, selective hepatic artery angiography is an invasive examination. Since liver cancer is mainly supplied by the hepatic artery, hepatic artery angiography can be used to understand the blood supply of small lesions and tumors in the liver. After a clear diagnosis, iodized oil injection can be used to block the tumor supply vessels to achieve the purpose of treatment. It is suitable for patients who have not been diagnosed after other examinations.
