What is the cause of throat herpes

The throat is a very important part of the human body, and herpes is often easily induced in the throat, which is not only not conducive to one's diet and life, but also causes great harm to one's health. There are many causes of throat herpes, which may be caused by enterovirus. There are also many types of throat herpes. Patients need to seek medical treatment in time according to their actual situation.

1. What causes throat herpes?

Herpes in the throat is also called herpetic pharyngitis. "Herpangina" is an infectious disease caused by enterovirus, which mostly occurs in infants and young children under 5 years old. It can cause fever and rash and ulcers on the hands, feet, mouth and other parts of the body. Some patients may develop complications such as myocarditis, pulmonary edema, and aseptic meningoencephalitis. There are more than 20 types of enterovirus that can cause this disease, among which Coxsackievirus A16 (CoxA16) and enterovirus 71 (Enterovirus71, EV71) are the most common.

The symptoms of herpetic pharyngitis are: when herpetic pharyngitis occurs, the white blood cell count in the blood of most children does not increase or decreases (the white blood cell count often increases during bacterial infection and is normal or decreased during viral infection). The clinical symptoms of herpetic pharyngitis include fever, sore throat, and small blisters in the mouth, on the soft palate, tonsils, and uvula.

2. Treatment of sweat herpes

Dyshidrosis is a common and frequently occurring disease. Its clinical manifestations include the appearance of pinpoint-sized hemispherical, translucent white or yellowish blisters on both hands. These blisters appear in batches, mainly on the distal fingertips of the ten fingers. Severe patients may also develop skin lesions on the palms. After the blisters appear, as the blisters dry up, peeling appears on the skin of the original blisters. Multiple small peeling areas merge to form a larger peeling area. In severe cases, blisters appear repeatedly, so the peeling also appears layer by layer. Large flakes of peeling may appear, accompanied by the appearance of new, tenderer, bright red skin. This is because the new, tenderer, bright red skin lacks an effective stratum corneum and has poor elasticity and is often accompanied by cracking. There is pain when applying force or holding objects at the fingertips.

Common differential diagnoses of this disease include tinea manuum, eczema, exfoliative keratolysis, palmoplantar pustulosis, and localized hyperhidrosis.

The occurrence of this disease is often accompanied by obvious hyperhidrosis, and the onset has a certain seasonality, mostly in spring, summer and autumn. Of course, some patients still get sick in winter even though their indoor heating is very good. The occurrence of this disease is related to excessive sweating, allergy to certain substances and genetic constitution.

Western medicine mainly focuses on anti-allergic and symptomatic treatment for this disease. According to traditional Chinese medicine, most patients with this disease suffer from the invasion of dampness and heat, with dampness and heat being more prevalent in the patient's constitution or being caused by exogenous dampness and heat. In the early stage, the main symptom is damp-heat, so scattered or dense blisters can be seen, accompanied by excessive sweating. In the later stage, the evil qi stays on the skin surface for a long time, causing blood deficiency and wind dryness. The blood deficiency and malnutrition of the skin will cause dryness and cracking, and skin pain will occur if it is not nourished. In the early stage of TCM treatment, the main focus is on removing dampness, clearing heat and stopping sweating, while in the later stage, the main focus is on moisturizing the skin, nourishing blood and relieving pain. Of course, there is an overlapping transition period between these two types, and the judgment and prescription of medication should be made based on the specific circumstances. The combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine has obvious advantages in the treatment of this disease.
