What is the difference between abdominal color Doppler ultrasound and vaginal Doppler ultrasound?

Many people know about abdominal color ultrasound, but not everyone has heard of vaginal ultrasound. Vaginal ultrasound requires the instrument to be placed into the vagina or rectum for examination. Vaginal ultrasound is clearer than abdominal color ultrasound, and there is no need to hold urine. It is suitable for checking ovulation, ectopic pregnancy, gynecological diseases, etc. If the girl is a virgin, the examination needs to be performed through the rectum.

The difference between abdominal B-ultrasound and vaginal ultrasound

Vaginal ultrasound, also known as vaginal B-ultrasound, also known as intracavitary B-ultrasound, is a method of ultrasonic diagnosis by inserting the B-ultrasound probe into the vagina or rectum. It is particularly suitable for observing pelvic organs in the small pelvis.

B-ultrasound vibrates 20,000 to 1 billion times per second. Sound waves that are inaudible to the human ear are called ultrasonic waves. The imaging discipline that uses the physical properties of ultrasound for diagnosis and treatment is called ultrasound medicine. It has a wide range of clinical applications and has become an indispensable diagnostic method in modern clinical medicine. Vaginal ultrasound is a method of performing B-ultrasound. The difference between it and other methods is that the probe is different and the place where the probe is placed is different.

Compared with abdominal B-ultrasound, vaginal ultrasound images are clearer and more realistic, the results are more accurate, and the person being examined does not have to "hold urine". It is particularly suitable for ovulation monitoring, diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy, uterine space-occupying diseases, and diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome and chocolate cysts. For those who have had sexual intercourse, a vaginal examination can be performed, and for virgins, a rectal ultrasound examination can be performed.

Vaginal ultrasound is performed through the vagina and mainly looks at the pelvic cavity, which is relatively clear. B-ultrasound is in black and white and can be viewed anywhere. Generally speaking, for the same area, vaginal ultrasound is more expensive than B-ultrasound.

It is recommended not to do vaginal B-ultrasound during pregnancy. Abdominal B-ultrasound is sufficient. If you want to have an abortion, vaginal ultrasound can also be done. Now it is better to use anti-inflammatory drugs to fight infection.
