What are the symptoms of edema all over the body and dying in the late stage of liver cancer?

According to statistics, the five-year survival rate of advanced liver cancer is quite low. As the liver is an important organ of life, liver cancer has become a major killer that threatens health. Therefore, for patients with liver cancer, being able to detect the symptoms of advanced liver cancer in time is of great significance for timely treatment. So what are the symptoms of edema in the body before death in the advanced stage of liver cancer?

Symptoms before death from advanced liver cancer

If liver cancer reaches the late stage, the condition will be very serious and the difficulty of treatment will be greatly increased. Because the liver is an important organ for human life activities, the mortality rate of late-stage liver cancer is very high.

The symptoms of advanced liver cancer are quite obvious, such as fever, weight loss, edema of hands and feet, slurred speech, accelerated heartbeat, abdominal distension and diarrhea, and in severe cases, vomiting blood. The symptoms before death of advanced liver cancer are basically the same. They basically include: severe lack of appetite, nausea and vomiting, malignant cavity effusion, intense pain in the liver area and even hepatic coma, and difficulty breathing. These phenomena are obvious signs of death of patients with advanced liver cancer.

Because in the late stage of liver cancer, cancer cells generally metastasize widely. Many patients die due to complications. The most common direct causes of death for liver cancer patients include:

1. Concurrent infection. Because the body's immunity is low, infectious complications are easy to occur and aggravate the condition. Concurrent infection can easily cause high fever, coma, and even death.

2. Bleeding. Because the hematopoietic function of the bone marrow is suppressed or the blood vessels are damaged or seriously infected, the rupture of blood vessels will cause bleeding. If the amount of bleeding is large, it may cause the patient's death.

3. Damage to important organs. Cancer cells can destroy the normal structure of many important organs, causing organ damage and leading to death. If cancer cells damage the organs that control breathing and circulation, it will cause death. In addition, liver cancer can cause blockage of the common bile duct, causing jaundice, liver function and digestive dysfunction.

4. Physical weakness. In the late stage of cancer, the patient's physical condition declines sharply, and nutrition is almost exhausted, which eventually leads to systemic failure and death.

These are the symptoms and causes of death in the late stage of liver cancer. I hope that patients can receive treatment as early as possible in the early stages to avoid delaying the disease in the later stages and causing life-threatening situations.
