Can gastric antral cancer be cured? It mainly depends on these two aspects

Antral cancer is a relatively common type of gastric cancer. Whether it can be cured depends on the stage and pathological type. Patients with early-stage antral cancer can undergo surgical treatment. During the treatment process, the effect of the treatment is related to the patient's physical condition. Symptoms of gastric cancer include irregular pain or continuous dull pain. There are no specific symptoms in the early stages. Patients with early-stage antral cancer should eat small meals frequently, and eat dry and liquid food separately to promote further absorption of food.

Antral cancer is the most common cancer in the stomach, and the site of onset is the antrum. Antral cancer, also known as pyloric cancer or pyloric antral cancer, is the part between the angular notch and the pylorus. Antral cancer is divided into three types: raised ulcer type, ulcer type, and raised type, and the incidence rate will decrease. The majority of antral cancer lumps are larger than 2cm in diameter, and those smaller than 2cm are relatively rare. So can antral cancer be cured?
Gastric antral cancer is a relatively common disease. Whether it can be cured depends on the stage of the tumor and the type of tumor pathology. The most important thing is the active cooperation and support of the patient's family. Generally, early gastric antral cancer can be treated by surgery to help patients remove the cancerous part. Some patients in the middle and late stages can also choose surgery. Patients need to undergo surgery in the early stages. For those in the late stages who can no longer be treated surgically, radiotherapy or biological immunotherapy, commonly known as chemotherapy, can be chosen.
The current treatment methods are not particularly good for patients with gastric antral cancer, because with the current medical level, there is still no way to cure gastric antral cancer. The effect of treatment is also closely related to the patient's physical condition. The current medical technology can only prolong the patient's survival time or relatively improve the patient's quality of life.
Symptoms of gastric cancer include irregular pain and continuous dull pain. Patients do not have special symptoms in the early stages of antral cancer, which are similar to those of chronic superficial gastritis. Most patients with antral cancer experience nausea and pain after eating. The worsening of the patient's condition can lead to symptoms of obstruction, such as vomiting, abdominal distension, and lack of hunger after eating. Patients with long-term obstruction will experience cachexia such as anemia and malnutrition.
Patients with early-stage gastric antral cancer should eat small and frequent meals 6-7 times a day because of the removal of a large part of the stomach. Eating at regular times and quantitative times will not empty the stomach and gradually adapt to the digestive function of the residual stomach. Eating small and frequent meals is the diet system for patients after gastric cancer resection. Eat dry and liquid food separately to avoid prolonged retention of food in the stomach. Eat only relatively dry food during meals and do not drink water. You can drink water 30 minutes after meals to prevent food from being quickly washed into the small intestine and slowly pass through the small intestine to promote further absorption of food.
