Chronic pulmonary fibrosis

Chronic pulmonary fibrosis

Pulmonary fibrosis is a relatively serious lung disease, and after pulmonary fibrosis occurs, if you want to suppress the disease symptoms caused by pulmonary fibrosis to the patient's body, you should actively receive treatment. Most cases of pulmonary fibrosis are chronic, so it is also called chronic pulmonary fibrosis. This disease often affects the human body little by little. So what are the treatment strategies for the symptoms of chronic pulmonary fibrosis?

How long can you live with pulmonary fibrosis?

After pulmonary fibrosis occurs, we must treat it according to the cause. If the fibrosis is caused by the environment, the symptoms can be in a stable state for a long time after leaving the corresponding environment. We must correctly judge the efficacy and prognosis of the disease, and we should also clearly diagnose the cause. The average survival period for pulmonary fibrosis is three to five years. If it is an acute exacerbation, it is usually around six weeks to half a year, and most patients will die of exhaustion.

However, pulmonary fibrosis is a chronic lung disease and the disease progresses very slowly, so don't worry too much. As long as we treat it in time and improve lung function, the patient's condition will recover well.

What should I pay attention to if I have pulmonary fibrosis?

In normal times, you should first ensure adequate rest and keep warm, as the condition will often worsen after catching a cold. The living environment must be quiet, the air must be well ventilated, and you should avoid the stimulation of strong odors such as perfume and air fresheners. Of course, you should not inhale too cold or too humid air. The room must be cleaned regularly, but dust should also be avoided.

Patients with pulmonary fibrosis should also take appropriate exercise to improve their ability to resist disease, such as doing deep breathing, practicing Tai Chi, etc., but the intensity of exercise should not be too high. The diet should follow the principle of being light and easy to digest, eat more fruits and vegetables, and drink more water.

Now you should know how long you can live with pulmonary fibrosis. If the disease has developed to the late stage, some patients will live for three to five years, and some patients will live shorter. However, the progression of this disease is very slow. Most patients will take some measures to treat it at the beginning of the disease, and the recovery effect is very good.
