1. Can gastric cancer be cured? <br/>Clinical cure may be achieved by actively choosing surgical resection of the lesion in the early stage of the disease. Current clinical data show that the five-year survival rate of gastric cancer can reach 90%~98% with active surgical treatment in the early stage, and the clinical cure rate is relatively high. However, many patients do not have obvious discomfort symptoms in the early stage of the disease. By the time they feel discomfort, the disease has developed to the middle and late stages, and the prognosis is very poor. The clinical cure rate is also very low, and active treatment can only be used to prolong survival.
2. Treatment of gastric cancer <br/>Actively choosing surgical treatment in the early stage of the disease and completely removing the lesion can achieve a good prognosis; when the disease develops to the middle and late stages and there are surgical indications, surgical treatment is also chosen to prolong survival. For middle and late stage gastric cancer, even if surgery can be performed, radiotherapy and chemotherapy are still needed after surgery to kill residual cancer cells; if surgery is not possible, radiotherapy and chemotherapy can be used to prolong survival.
