Liver cancer is a terrible liver disease. In clinical experiments, liver cancer often occurs in specific populations. What are the "invisible killers" that cause liver cancer? 1. Aflatoxin Clinical experiments have found that some liver cancer patients have no history of hepatitis B or C virus infection. They also do not have underlying liver diseases such as cirrhosis. When investigating the cause, it was found that these people had long-term and large-scale exposure to carcinogens, and the most critical of these is aflatoxin. It has been confirmed in animal experiments that there are more than ten metabolites of aflatoxin, and aflatoxin Bl is the most common one. It is also directly related to liver cancer. Aflatoxin Bl is a highly toxic substance with a strong carcinogenic effect. Its carcinogenicity is 75 times higher than that of N-nitrosodimethylamine. It can induce liver cancer in all animals. Aflatoxin exists in moldy peanuts, corn, etc. Therefore, not eating moldy peanuts, corn, oil cakes and other foods can effectively reduce the incidence of liver cancer. 2. Drinking water In recent years, with the further aggravation of environmental pollution, the eutrophication of some water bodies has become increasingly obvious, and the reproduction rate of various algae has greatly increased. The green blue algae growing in pond water are strong carcinogenic plants, and the microcystin in them is a strong carcinogen with quite toxicity. An epidemiological survey on drinking water confirmed that people who drank pond water seriously contaminated by green algae had high incidence and mortality rates of liver cancer. Therefore, paying attention to drinking water hygiene is also an effective way to prevent liver cancer. 3. Tobacco and alcohol Excessive drinking is another major cause of liver damage. There is a clear positive correlation between alcohol intake and the incidence of liver cancer. The longer you drink, the greater the chance of liver cancer. In recent years, some studies have found that cocaine, nicotine, nitrosamines and other substances in cigarettes are carcinogens. In addition to causing direct damage to liver cells, if combined with other pathogenic factors, it will cause further damage to the liver and induce liver cancer. |
