What is the definition of fibroid

Fibroid is a common and frequent disease in modern times. The consequences of this disease are very serious. I believe that many people still don’t know what kind of disease fibroid is and what the definition of fibroid is. Let us take a closer look at this issue.

Fibroma is a slow-growing benign tumor derived from fibrous tissue. It is composed of well-differentiated subcutaneous connective tissue. It is more common in adults aged 40-50 years old and rarely becomes malignant. The main treatment is surgical resection.

Fibroids are often found under the skin, grow slowly, are generally small, have clear edges, smooth surfaces, are hard, and can be pushed. If mixed with other components, they become fibromyomas, fibroadenomas, fibrolipomas, etc. Fibroids, especially hard fibromas in the abdominal wall muscles, can become malignant and should be completely removed as soon as possible.

Common symptoms of fibroids are generally manifested as normal surface skin, palpable smooth and movable tumors under the skin, and no tenderness. Fibromas are small flesh-colored to dark brown pinhead-sized and larger sessile and pedunculated papilloma, which often occur on the neck and are often associated with small seborrheic keratoses. They are also common in the armpits and eyelids, followed by the trunk and groin. Some pedunculated soft fibroids are teardrop-shaped and feel like small sacs. Occasionally, they may become inflamed, tender, or even necrotic due to distortion of the pedicles. The number of fibroids often increases when the patient gains weight or during pregnancy. The incidence of this disease seems to be higher in patients with colon polyps. In the past, it was often reported as a disease of perianal soft warts or skin folds.

Although fibroma looks scary, it is actually a benign tumor. Fibromatosis is a tumor derived from fibrous tissue. The tumor can occur in large muscles in any part of the body, with the rectus abdominis muscle of the abdominal wall and the aponeurosis of its adjacent muscles being the most common. In order to control the development of skin tumors of fibroma, patients must pay attention to daily care, which is very important for fibroma patients.

The above are the definitions of fibroids. Do you understand them, friends? Don’t underestimate this disease. The consequences it brings to people are very serious. Please take good care of your body in your daily life and stay away from the troubles of diseases.
