I believe that many testicular cancer patients want to know whether testicular cancer can be completely cured. There are many methods to treat testicular cancer clinically. With the continuous improvement of technology, the cure rate of testicular cancer has also greatly improved. Testicular cancer is a serious disease in the oncology department. Patients should be treated promptly and actively. So what is the cure rate of testicular cancer? Biological immunotherapy, also known as biological cell immunotherapy, is a "biological immunotherapy technology" developed by scientists in the field of cancer treatment at Temple University and Stanford University in the United States, who found a breakthrough in the rapidly developing cytology and immunology. During treatment, two special functional cells are extracted from the human peripheral blood: dendritic cells are like "radars" that can actively search and identify tumor cells; killer cells with induction functions are like "missiles" that can accurately kill tumor cells without damaging any normal tissues. After being cultured in a special GMP laboratory, activated and value-added cells are returned to the patient's body to systematically kill tumor cells. It is internationally recognized as the fourth new technology therapy that has the potential to completely eliminate tumors. Combining biological immunotherapy with radiotherapy can reduce the toxic and side effects of radiotherapy and increase the sensitivity of radiotherapy; combined with chemotherapy drugs, it can reduce the drug side effects in multiple systems such as digestion and blood, and enhance the inhibitory or killing effect on tumor tissue. The toxicity-reducing and synergistic effect of biological immunotherapy overcomes the shortcomings of the three traditional treatment methods of surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, such as "incomplete, easy to transfer, and large side effects". While accurately killing cancer cells, it can also repair and improve the patient's immune system, prevent spread and metastasis in all directions, and increase the 5-year survival rate by nearly one-fold. Due to the improvement of diagnostic technology, the decrease of staging error, and the great success of DDP-based combination chemotherapy, the survival rate of patients with testicular germ cell tumors, especially testicular germ cell cancer, has been greatly improved. The 5-year survival rate has increased from 60% in the 1960s to more than 90% at present. At the same time, treatment strategies have also undergone major changes. With the modern improved nerve-protecting unilateral retroperitoneal lymph node dissection, 80% of patients still retain their reproductive function and fertility, so many treatment centers still advocate the continued use of orchiectomy plus retroperitoneal lymph node dissection to treat clinical testicular cancer. Another alternative treatment for clinical testicular cancer is radiotherapy or chemotherapy, which has the same efficacy as lymph node dissection, but can better protect the patient's sexual function and fertility. |
