Sequelae of uterine and ovarian removal for endometrial cancer

Modern women are often troubled by gynecological diseases. Endometrial cancer is a representative case of gynecological diseases, which endangers the physical health and family happiness of many women. Even if endometrial cancer is successfully cured, some sequelae of endometrial cancer may appear in the later stage due to bad eating habits and other influencing factors. These sequelae are difficult to cure and often accompany most women, which is really disturbing. So what are the sequelae of radiotherapy for endometrial cancer? How to treat these sequelae?

The sequelae of endometrial cancer include the following four clinical manifestations: (1) Vaginal bleeding: This is the most common and earliest symptom of endometrial cancer. It is often manifested as irregular bleeding, with varying amounts of bleeding. Premenopausal women may have heavy menstrual flow and prolonged periods; postmenopausal women may have postmenopausal bleeding; (2) Pain: This often occurs in late-stage patients due to tumor compression of nerves. Pain may occur in the lumbar and lower abdomen and radiate to the legs; (3) Vaginal discharge: Necrotic and sloughing of endometrial cancer tissue may cause exudate to be discharged through the vagina. It may be rice soup-like and mixed with blood or purulent with a foul odor; (4) There are usually no obvious abnormalities in the early stages of examination; in the late stages, the uterus may become enlarged and softened; in postmenopausal women, the uterus may not shrink or may become enlarged, and metastatic masses may be felt in the pelvic cavity.

These sequelae should be treated carefully to prevent recurrence. Dietary precautions: (1) Eat a light diet and avoid mutton, shrimp, crab, eel, salted fish, black fish and other irritating foods. (2) Avoid spicy foods and drinks such as chili peppers, peppercorns, raw onions, raw garlic, and white wine. (3) Avoid foods such as longan, red dates, donkey-hide gelatin, and royal jelly that are hot, coagulant, and contain hormones. (4) Eat at regular times and in fixed quantities, and do not overeat.

The so-called sequelae are symptoms caused by incomplete treatment or various factors in the late stage of treatment. The sequelae are stubborn and trouble people's lives. The sequelae of endometrial cancer affect women's life and fertility, so they must be treated with caution. I hope that patients can take a good look at the various suggestions put forward by the above experts, pay attention to their living habits and diet, love cleanliness, take frequent baths and wash clothes, eat light food and avoid spicy food, etc. I wish you a speedy recovery.
