Can TCM cure laryngeal cancer?

Traditional Chinese medicine is a traditional method of treating diseases in my country. It can not only treat laryngeal cancer, but also has quite significant effects. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment of laryngeal cancer can improve and strengthen physical fitness, strengthen the body's resistance and eliminate evil, replenish qi and nourish blood, enhance the body's immunity, prevent the replication and metastasis of cancer cells, and prolong the patient's life and reduce the patient's pain.

Laryngeal cancer is a malignant tumor that occurs in the larynx, and squamous cell carcinoma is the most common. Common causes include: smoking, drinking, air pollution, gastroesophageal reflux, etc. Smoking is the main cause. Among the laryngeal cancer patients I have seen, 95% are long-term smokers, and most of them have obvious symptoms between the ages of 50 and 65. Therefore, quitting smoking is the best way to prevent laryngeal cancer.

Laryngeal cancer is not an incurable disease. Common treatment methods include surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, biological therapy and comprehensive treatment. In order to achieve the best results, different methods should be used according to the specific conditions of the patient.

Intermediate-stage laryngeal cancer with a large entity is most suitable for surgical treatment. Depending on the situation, if cervical lymph node metastasis is found before surgery, the cervical lymph nodes can be cleared during surgery. If no cervical lymph node metastasis is found in the preoperative examination, or only early metastasis is found, preventive radiotherapy can be performed after surgery according to the situation. Or if the cervical lymph nodes are found to be enlarged after surgery, radical radiotherapy of the cervical lymph nodes can be performed. Similarly, induction chemotherapy can be performed before radiotherapy. If the primary lesion recurs after surgery, radiotherapy can also be performed.

For advanced tumors that are very large or have metastasized to distant sites, no treatment will be satisfactory. If surgery is still possible, surgery is the main treatment. If the patient is in poor physical condition and is unlikely to tolerate surgery, or if the tumor is too large to be repaired after resection, palliative radiotherapy or chemotherapy can be used. The purpose of treatment at this time is mainly to relieve the patient's pain, not to prolong the patient's life.
