What are the symptoms of brain cancer in late stage?
1. Headache: It is caused by increased intracranial pressure or direct compression and stimulation of the meninges, blood vessels and nerves by the tumor. It occurs in most patients in the early stage and worsens as the tumor develops to the late stage.
2. Mental symptoms: often manifested as slow reaction, laziness, recent memory loss or even loss, and in severe cases, loss of self-awareness and judgment. It may also manifest as irritability, irritability or euphoria.
3. Vomiting: It is mostly caused by increased intracranial pressure stimulating the medullary vomiting center and vagus nerve stimulation. Severe headaches are accompanied by vomiting, which is often jet-like. Children with posterior cranial fossa tumors experience vomiting early and frequently, which can be easily mistaken for gastrointestinal diseases.
4. Epileptic seizures: including generalized seizures and localized seizures. The frontal lobe is the most common, followed by the temporal lobe, parietal lobe, and the occipital lobe is the least common. In some cases, there are precursors before convulsions. For example, temporal lobe tumors often have precursors such as hallucinations and dizziness before epileptic seizures. Parietal lobe tumors may cause abnormal sensations such as limb numbness before seizures.
