Dietary taboos after chemotherapy for ovarian cancer

Ovarian cancer is a common tumor in women. Like other tumors, ovarian cancer needs to be treated with chemotherapy. After chemotherapy, you need to pay attention to your daily diet. There are five important things to pay attention to in your diet after chemotherapy for ovarian cancer. Let's take a closer look below.

1. The supply of calories and protein needs to be ensured. You can eat more foods rich in calories and protein, such as milk, eggs, lean pork, beef, rabbit meat, fish, poultry, soy products, etc. If the patient does not want to eat meat, he can choose to eat salted duck eggs, egg pancakes or cheese, honey, etc. He also needs to eat some rice, noodles and other foods rich in calories.

2. Ensure the intake of dietary fiber and vitamins, and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, such as rapeseed, spinach, tomatoes, onions, asparagus, hawthorn, fresh dates, Chinese cabbage, kiwi, kelp, etc. If you feel severe nausea and can't eat, you can drink some vegetable juice or fruit juice, or eat more refreshing salads.

3. After chemotherapy, patients are weak and need to eat more foods that can enhance their immunity, such as mushrooms, white fungus, black fungus, mushrooms, etc., as well as animal liver, cod liver oil, carrots, lettuce leaves, etc., which are rich in vitamin A and carotene.

4. The time of three meals needs to be arranged reasonably. Breakfast should be eaten before 6 am and dinner should be eaten after 7 pm. The time interval between medication and meals should be extended as much as possible to reduce the reaction of the medicine. At the same time, do not eat spicy and irritating foods.

5. Pay attention to drinking plenty of water, no less than 2000 ml a day, which can reduce the irritation of drugs on the digestive tract mucosa and promote the excretion of toxins. You can also drink more milk, soy milk, mung bean soup and other drinkable water to promote the excretion of toxins released by cancer cells.

The above are the dietary precautions after ovarian cancer chemotherapy. Five precautions are indispensable. The majority of ovarian cancer patients are weak after chemotherapy and must supplement their diet in time to allow their bodies to recover as soon as possible.
