How is bladder cancer inherited?

The risk of bladder cancer in the first-degree relatives of bladder cancer patients is about twice that of those without a family history, and the risk is even higher in the first-degree relatives of young bladder cancer patients. In addition, studies have shown that consuming a large amount of fluids, vegetables and fruits can reduce the risk of bladder cancer. The main risk factors for bladder cancer in the Chinese population are smoking, occupational exposure to aromatic amines, family history of bladder cancer, drinking alcohol and coffee, and gender.
Drinking tap water that has been disinfected with chlorine and contains chlorination byproducts can increase the risk of bladder cancer. Arsenic contamination in drinking water in Taiwan, my country and Argentina in South America is also associated with an increased risk of bladder cancer.
